Revere House

The Charles Collection was a ebook that I collaborated on with Amy Herzog and Elinor Brown a couple of years ago. Last fall we all agreed that it was time for each of us to offer our patterns individually. Right away I published Back Bay, a large, worsted weight wrap, as an individual pattern. With family obligations and design commitments taking priority, it took longer than I'd planned to get the other patterns into my template and ready for publication on their own. Finally, today I have Revere House ready as a single pattern.

This asymmetrical, cabled sweater is fun to wear with anything from jeans to your favorite lacy thrift shop find. Ahem, I'm looking at you Sofie. The center front cable adds texture and interest, but doesn't overwhelm the other details, like the turned hem on the sleeves and bottom edge, or the garter stitch collar.

Gentle waist shaping helps it fit your curves, and the long length makes Revere House the sort of hybrid jacket/cardigan that I love to wear in the autumn.

Revere House works equally well worn open. . .

Sofie likes this sweater so much it set her to dancing.
