I'd like to thank everyone for their kind responses to my last post. Many of you have made contributions for Alzheimer's & Dementia research and we are very close to my goal of $5000 by my father's birthday.
My dad's 80th birthday would have been tomorrow. My mom is scheduled to arrive this evening for a visit. We plan to spend tomorrow remembering him and celebrating his life. It will be good to have my mother to share the day with. I've really missed having her nearby since she moved to North Carolina over 2 years ago.
Originally designed for the Yarn4Socks Sock club, my Atlantis sock pattern is now available to the public.
These socks are worked from the top down on two circular needles. The broken rib pattern at the cuff continues down the back and heel of the socks. The front is adorned with a pattern of waves which cascade down from a point at the top of the leg.
A sock discussion thread has been started in the Through the Loops group on Ravelry. If you make this sock or any of my other sock patterns you are welcome to join in, ask questions, and post photos of your projects. We'd love to have you stop by.
